As the name indicates, romaine hearts are the inside leaves of romaine lettuce. Widely known and recognized for Caesar salads, these leaves are smaller, paler and more tender and taste delicious. Romaine hearts are also an excellent source of vitamin A; great for healthy skin and eyes.
